Why It’s Easy To Fall In-Love With Cape Town

We are in-love with Cape Town, and there’s no turning back.

For those of you who don’t know, Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast. On one side, there’s the wharf, bustling with activities, shops, restaurants and local artisan fare—and on the other side, there’s the majestic Table mountain. The mild winter weather, sights and the coffee-at-hand create the ideal trifecta for a relaxing holiday.

We’re starting 2018 the right way by making sure you do yourself the favor of visiting this breathtaking place filled to the brim with rich culture, tradition, and and an impeccably diverse set of people who are just as glad to have you there.

Here are some of the best places to see:

    1. Table Mountain

The top of Table Mountain is easily accessible via cable car. Pray for good weather, as rainy days can cease operation of the cable car. On top of Table Mountain is a national park that delivers exceptional views of the Bowl City. You can spend hours walking around, looking for the perfect spot for a photo above the city.

    2. Cape Point

A funicular known as The Flying Dutchmen can take you up the ridge right before you embark on a steep climb to the iconic Old Lighthouse. Cape Point was originally thought to be the place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, and it guarantees spectacular views of the two oceans.

    3. Cape of Good Hope

Right below Cape Point is the most photographed sign in South Africa. It boasts to be the south-western most point of the African Continent.

    4. Simons Town

A drive to Boulder Beach in Simon’s Town will reward you with an adorable showcase of South African penguins.

    5. Bo Kaap

Found near the business district is the former Malay Quarter known as Bo Kaap. Still mainly a quiet residential area, the streets are lined with colorful houses and cobblestone streets. Although there isn’t much to do here but take photos, one must still pay a visit to this distinctive town.
